Iranian movie ‘Gold Carrier’ is slated to be screened at the Duhok International Film Festival in Iraq.
Directed by Touraj Aslani, the movie represents Iran at the World Cinema competition section of the festival.
The inauguration ceremony of Duhok Filmfest was held in the presence of Aslani and the movie’s star Saeed Aghakhani.
The 85-minute flick chronicles Reza, a gold carrier who is couriering gold and jewelry from workshops to stores.
Robbed one day on his way, he wants to pay compensation, so encouraged by his friend Louie, he heads to an auction. But a wobbly Tehran market makes Reza’s situation even worse.
Hossein Ahmadinia, Saeed Aqakhani, Lotfollah Seyfi and Jaleh Sameti are among the 'Gold Carrier' cast.
The Duhok IFF is an annual film festival presenting new and exciting cinema from the Kurdish cinema and beyond.
The event has already kicked off and will run until September 16, 2019 in Duhok, Iraqi Kurdistan Region.
